Apart from lip balm and washing teeth, is there anything else I could to to prepare? It will probably happen tonight and I have zero confidence in myself that I’ll do it right. I also don’t want to look funny or weird or something as he approaches or during the process. 
I’m open to tips that will boost my confidence and make me feel ready, thanks!💕

Everyone gets nervous it’s completely normal.
I’d say practice on the back of your hand, not to fast like a washing machine, not too much tongue or saliva either. 
Generally just go with the other persons pace and enjoy it! Some people like to open mouth kisss for abit then add the tongue hear and there but you’ll get more confidence with time and practice 👍🏻 good luck!

Some people peck on the lips, some people kiss the upper lip in the lower lip separately, some people do tilt head a little and massage your tongue with their tongue, just follow their lead, My previous partner, my current partner kids completely differently, my previous partner it was basically massage and each other’s for a while. My current partner it’s a little bit of tongue, and I’m back to kissing it’s changing directions it’s all over the place with him it’s intense, it’s passionate, he presses me up against the wall, starts kissing my neck and we’re grabbing each other all over it’s a very different ballgame for my previous partner, my previous partner was just making out and talking, because we were always pressed for time.
