Does Sleep sack help prevent SIDS

It will be winter time and I am FTM. Baby will be sleeping on his bassinet in our room. But I’m afraid it will be too cold for him since our window is not insulated enough and our heater is not centralized. Any help or advise to avoid SIDS would be really helpful.
