Did you sterilized and prepare your bottles before baby is born?

I’m 37weeks and debating if I should wash all the bottles and prepare my breast pump. What did you do?

Yes to both. Our plan was to breastfeed with my oldest but she had a lip tie that made breastfeed extremely painful and i wasnt able to continue. I was so glad we took a day before she came to wash, sterilize, & organize before she came because i couldnt have imagined having that stress after having my csection. We did the same for our second but it wasnt needed

Wash, yes. Definitely. I’d hold off on sterilizing until you’ve had the baby or go to the hospital. Sterilization only lasts for like 24hrs I believe, so no point in doing it earlier than you need to. (Unless you want to test out your sterilizer!)

I washed all the bottles, checked for missing parts and organized them but I will not be sterilizing the nipples until baby is around 8-10 weeks because I won’t be pumping until that time. 
I have 14 weeks(or more) off from work but I won’t even attempt to pump this time until maybe 10ish weeks. With my last baby I kept hearing about and thinking I needed a “stash” and totally messed up my supply. I started pumping a few ounces around 4-6 weeks and started a vicious cycle of oversupply that resulted in me battling mastitis and then thrush for 10(!) weeks. It was the sickest I’ve ever been and was completely miserable.
