When did you start trying again after an early miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage at about 7-8 weeks, and I want to start again asap. My doc said we can try again after my next period, but everything I've read says there's no medical reason for that.

My dr told me the main reason they tell you to wait at least 1 cycle is because it’s hard to track things with the new pregnancy if you didn’t have a cycle before getting a positive test. But obviously everyone is different and may have different reasons for needing to wait.

I started trying immediately. They recommended I wait 1 cycle, but also kinda just said “go for it”. Still, it took me a year and a half to get pregnant again.

I miscarried nearly 3 weeks ago and am going to try first ovulation….I’ve not ovulated yet so still waiting. All the research I did suggests that the only reason women are told to wait until after their first period is to make dating easier if they do get pregnant

Slightly different story- I had a d&c for a MMC and was told we could start trying right away, but I didn’t ovulate until after my next period anyway. Miscarrying is a huge shock to your system, so just be patient with your body. ❤️
