Car Seat? Hospital bag? HELP!

So I’ll be 33 weeks pregnant this week and my husband and I are wondering when we should put the car seat in the car and when we AND what we should pack in our hospital bags. This is my first baby and I’m clueless!!! Also we bought a brand new car, I was thinking about getting a seat protector but have read mixed reviews. What are your guys’ opinions?

Your hospital will provide everything you and your baby need postpartum. For baby You’ll need clothes (I bring 2 of NB and 2 0-3), your favorite lotion (they give out Johnson’s), nail clips (they have talons), and a blanket if you wish. 
For you you’ll need clothes, comfy joggers or maternity leggings, nursing supplies if you plan to do that (nursing bra, tanks, etc), flip flops for shower, slippers, and if you prefer diapers for you, bring those. I pack toiletry items in my bag so I don’t have to worry about them. Deodorant (for you and hubs), shampoo/conditioner, dry shampoo, extra hair ties, a headband, and toothbrushes for both. Packing light is the best option. I will suggest bringing a fold up tote or one fo those $1 shopping bags from TJ Maxx because everything they bring into your room can and should be taken home. It’s getting charged to you anyway so take the diapers, the sitz bath, PP pads, peri bottle. Everything they bring in there.

I had my bags packed since about 29 weeks, it pays to be prepared trust me! I have one bag for babies and one for me. This is my third time and I know everything I usually need.

I packed the baby's set of clothes and going home clothes....a blanket and snuggle. I also packed hats that match the outfit seeing how it's cold...did that 2 weeks ago...had some Braxton hicks Saturday night had more today so picked out 2 outfits for me...have had my bathroom stuff packed months ago already had travel set stuff...things you need if not doing c-section the hospital will give you....ask for extra! And if possible ask for extra again bc you will need it...

As for the car seat if you went bucket seat (infant seat with the base) it's safe to install now check your install then keep the car seat in the house until your ready to go to the hospital leaving your base in the car. If your starting with the convertible I'd wait a few more weeks. 
Seat protectors very based on car seat manufacturer some allow them some don't. So check that but be mindful that they often hide a bad install making it seem correct. And hold moisture ect. 
No advice really for the hospital bags. I usually pack mine the night before I go in for my c& section and pack the bare minimum.

next month .. im same 35 today I prepared
my bag:
1- 4 baby clothe set
2- baby blanket
3-2 comfortable clothes for you
4- towel
5- baby brush if the my need it
6- slippers for you
7- underwear for you
8-toothbrushes and toothpaste
