Teething poop?

Question

TMI but my 5 month old is having frequent, bright green poop. Really wet, but not mucousy. He's been chewing on everything and drooling tons!
He's EBF and has no fever, but does have a snotty nose.
Are these signs of teething? 
My first had no teeth until 10 months.

Answer

When babies teeth they produce a lot more saliva and naturally swallow it. As a bi-product, they can get runny poo often green. So this is normal and is a sign of teething. 
Green poo in also normal when starting solids, particularly if you are giving peas, spinach, or other green foods. 
Infection can also cause green poo but if you are not seeing other symptoms of illness, that is probably not the case.
