Anyone a rad tech?

Question

I’m looking into the schooling for it bt I wanted to hear how you like it? Pros, Cons, etc? Does your office make you get the vaccine? Do you recommend me holding off til my baby is 6 months or 1 year? I ask cz I am a single mom bt my youngest now will be 8 so doesn’t need supervised only baby will( due February) and I of course work full time. I would have to do mostly online til the training. Is there afternoon training? I work at 4am so its not shift work.

I’ve never heard of the program through nonprofit for debt relief so I’ll look into it! Ive thought about saving as much as I could during the school time to pay for a year off for clinicals depending if I have to pay for schooling since I attempted back when I was younger and dropped out. What is the max for loans or does that depend per person? Also since I’ll have a bit of time til I can start is there anything you have learned that particularly was more difficult? My aunt did coding so she had to learn the medical terminology and she said that was difficult so I was going to try studying as much as possible now so when babe is here it’ll be a refresher. Also idk if all rad techs take same courses bt I googled it and saw a psychology course and was curious what that has to do with scanning people? I would take it though since I like psychology.

Oops..forgot the pros and cons.
Pros: lots of flexibility for future advancement. Ct, mri, cath lab, RA (radiologist assistant). Currently lots of job openings, mostly in hospitals. Can work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, surgery center, etc. Get to see lots of different patients per day spending sometimes just 5 minutes with someone (could be a pro or a con depending on your personality) rad techs are a unique breed of people who have a special kind of sense of humor. 
Cons: have to start at the bottom working the crummy shifts..possibly for many years. You might have to take call and work weekends, holidays, etc. Might have to move to find the right job.  
There are so many unknowns.

I'm a rad tech and LOVE my job! I went through a 4 year program and we had a full year of externship for our training. Of course there are the 2 year programs too. Most facilities will work with you a little as to the hours, but where I went, it was a full 8 hours a day.
I worked at a hospital for almost 5 years and then jumped into a clinic setting where I can do xray and CT with the hopes of MRI in the future. There are so many avenues to go into that if you can get through the schooling part, then you can handle the job. My current job accepts expemtuons to the so socialist shot, but the old hospital I worked in has let non vaccinated go.
