Should I cut all my hair off on my own?

Question

My hair is to my belly button and I am 13 weeks pregnant, for some reason it’s driving me freaking nuts. For like 5 weeks I’ve wanted it gone and it’s gotten longer, I have blunt bangs as well that I need to grow out so I can pull them back in a pony like I used to! 
My husband and I are super freaking broke right now, so I would have to wait a few weeks to budget in a hair cut. I don’t know how much they cost in general and around here, we just moved and I’ve always cut/trimmed my own hair but I never do anything this dramatic. 
Is it hard?? I can’t see how I couldn’t do it but I would be rattled if I messed it up so bad 😭 any thoughts??

Check out Brad Mondo on YouTube. He offers tutorials on how to properly cut your own hair. 
I’ve cut my hair before with a few of his tricks with no issues. The nice thing about hair is it grows back lol. Even if you mess it up, it’s not the end of the world.

I said go for it, but if you know you'll be super rattled if it doesn't turn out, then maybe wait for the professional. 
I've cut my hair off to about shoulder length at home but I knew that if it didn't turn out exactly how I hoped I could just hide it with ponytails or something until it grew out or I went to have a professional fix it 😆 I'm sure it didn't look like a perfect professional job when I was done but it was fine enough for me and I was glad to get all that weight and bulk off

I’d wait for a professional personally. I’d have no issues cutting the front of my hair - but back - yikes. That would be hard. 
Can you look online to see if there are any cosmetology schools in your area? I know the ones around here have salon hours where the students cut your hair for super cheap as practice. The teachers are there guiding them. One of my friends always goes there since it saves her a ton!

My hair was down to my lower back and I found a tutorial where you divide it in half, tie it in front, and cut it and it came out super straight. Ended up cutting off 5 inches in a week over a couple sessions and felt so much better! Just don’t take too much off in case you need it corrected but it’s usually super easy with long hair. More room for error.

It's not that hard I just cut mine a few months ago. I cut off about 8-10 inches. YouTube is very helpful.

I’ve had hair down to my butt for over 10 years I decided to cut it myself to a little below my shoulders and I’m sooo glad I did it I love it so much! I had thin poker straight hair though so it was super easy to cut. If you decide to cut it yourself I recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to do it
