Potty training ( first time mom)

I have a one year old or as some moms say 16 month. She knows that the potty is she know how to flush the big potty. She know how to grab the toilet paper and wipe but that some times turn into her just playing with it. My question is how do I start potty training currently I only put her on the potty after I use the restroom and when she wakes in the AM. If I say I’m go potty she runs to the bathroom and push her step stool to the toilet. She has a seat that go over the potty. I had one of them potty toilets that sit in the bathroom but she used it as a toy she for sure prefer the big toilet. How often should I be putting her on the potty? Any advice moms?
