I had blood work done on 11/2 and my hcg was 144. They had me come back on 11/4 to test again and it was 355. Doc wanted me to wait 7 days and test again and if it was still rising like it should then she was going to set my first appointment. I went in on 11/11 and my hcg was 2230 so I was expecting the call to set up my appointment. Instead they called to say I needed to test again on 11/18 so they can make sure my numbers will be high enough to see anything on and ultrasound. I asked what kind of number she was looking for and she said 17000. I have never heard this before. I thought at 6 to 8 weeks you should be able to see something on the scan regardless of what your hcg was. Now I'm thinking she thinks I'm going to miscarry and is waiting for it to happen before she sets the appointment. I know my hcg is lower but it is doubling about every 60 hours so I don't understand why she is dragging this out....anyone else experience something like this?
