Mucous plug or normal discharge?

I’m 22 weeks and extremely paranoid about everything lately. My water broke with my son at 22 weeks so I’ve have horrible paranoia and anxiety. Anyway this morning I wiped and there was a small bit of mucousy discharge on the toilet paper. Now I’m worried that it could be bits of my mucous plug. I know it can grow back but considering my history it still really worries me. Is it normal to have mucousy discharge at this point in pregnancy?

Call for some peace of mind. But it doesn’t sound concerning! Usually it’s very clear when you lose your mucus plug-and you can lose pieces of it without going into labor. Stay calm :) but it never hurts to call your doctor for reassurance!

With your history, I’d definitely cal the doctor to get checked. But the mucus plug doesn’t always mean labor is imminent.

What was ur outcome? I’m having this at 23 weeks and have a cerclage in for previous preterm labor
