Some people May remember me asking this question like a week ago. Every one basically said to just do the test instead of giving any useful legal advice… well I went on the scheduled date and I explained to family relations my ex wasn’t my baby’s dad and when we went before the judge he DID NOT order a paternity test. My ex could not prove that we had any relationship during my conception and my boyfriend (who was with me every step of the way) although not on the birth certificate was determined to be in our son’s best interest. What I found out is he (my ex) can contact a lawyer and reopen the case then try and have the judge Subpoena me if he really wanted to push it. So my boyfriend and I are actually going for a paternity test tomorrow just to have legal proof. My boyfriend has done everything for our son. Has him on his insurance and everything… so that probably made a difference in court I’m not too sure but I wanted to post just in case any other woman is ever in this situation.

Its the fucking principle 💯 judges don’t automatically have to award anyone anything like u said. My ex made himself look like a fool, case fucking closed 😇

Oh and news flash.. yea so I guess you can ask for custody without asking for paternity testing or having a relationship of some kind with the child established…. But the judge will look at you like a dick…. At least in my state lol (my ex told the judge he didn’t care for a paternity test anyway 😂)
