Does an 8 month old need to eat 3 meals a day if their still breastfeeding?

I feel bad for eating and not feeding him but as the same time he doesn't seem very interested in food at lunch time.

Generally the recommendation is
6-8 months solids once per day
8-10 months solids twice per day
10-12 months solids 3 times per day
Doesn’t really matter how much they eat at each meal either, just give the opportunity. Until 12m the primary source of nutrition should be breastmilk or formula.

I think my LO was eating solids 3 times a day at that stage but I didn’t ever follow our own traditional meal times… I based it around her naps/breastfeeding schedule. So it might be breakfast at 6:30am, lunch at 11:00am and then supper with us in the evening. I think I was still nursing her 5-6 times a day so that was her main source of nutrition.
