giving a baby a bath every day?

My MIL bathed her babies every day since the day they were born. And was telling me to do the same but I don’t bathe my daughter every day. I used to bathe her less as a new born as I could tell her skin was sensitive , peeling and red. Now she is 3 months old and I bathe her every 2 days. How often did you bathe your babies?

All of her kids had skin problems including my husband who had a rash that appeared almost every day until he turned 18 and he looked like he had chicken pox. Could that have something to do with it?
