Must have registry items?

First time mom here! I’m using Pinterest check lists to make my registry, but just want to hear about your most loved items!

I say a lot of it is trail and error. You’ll get lots of opinions on things that didn’t work for someone and worked for you etc. so only advice I have is don’t forget about you! Nursing bras, bigger comfy clothes, nipple cream, haaka, pump, a robe, etc.

I would get a nose frida. Besides that one product, I agree with the other commenter who said everything is just trial and error. I read through a ton of different registry must have lists on Pinterest and then decided on stuff that made sense for us and our house. Some things I didn’t think of for my registry but wished I’d added were different kinds of batteries (for all the toys and gadgets) and a rechargeable stroller fan for summer walks.

You don’t need as much as you think!! Don’t buy too many small clothes because babies grow fast. My son didn’t and I had to buy more of each size. But I’d start off with 5-10 outfits of the small sizes until you see if baby grows slowly or quickly. 
If you plan to bottle feed (either pumped milk or formula), just pick a bottle you like. If you plan on giving a pacifier, buy the same brand pacifier as you did bottle. Bottles, again, I wouldn’t get many. Because, at least for me, you won’t want to clean them the more you get. We had 7-4oz and 9-9oz. 
Electric nail file!! You’ll love this. 
I hated burp cloths. They were small and not absorbent. We used receiving blankets for swaddling and to cover our clothes and it was amazing. 
I would also not ask for diapers unless you get receipts because baby could have a shape that doesn’t work for a particular diaper or could have an allergy. Wipes? Just make sure they’re unscented. 
Decide if you want a bassinet, crib, mini crib, or pack and play for the young baby to sleep in. We loved our pack and play but also bought a bassinet for naps in a different room. I don’t plan on initially buying a pack and play for this baby, I think I’ll use the bassinet. I barely used the changing table in the pack and play, it was easier to change baby on our bed. 
Bath soap/shampoo, my son ended up with pretty bad eczema. Eucerin was the only thing he could use. So I would stay away from fragrant body stuff too. We used Dreft laundry detergent and had to get a different dryer sheet that didn’t have any fragrances. 
Mittens were a waste for us. My sons hands are huge and they were always in his mouth. Socks worked better or mittens that had a little extra fabric for the wrist. 
Penatin is the best diaper cream ever!! 
I see the point of hooded towels (keep baby “warm” after bath) but they outgrow them so quickly and they’re not super absorbent. I plan on using a regular towel for the next baby. 
I was told to get a lot of bibs. We barely used them for teething and rarely for eating. I like this shirt like bib that has a pouch for fallen food. 
The bottle warmer we had was horrible. Took 10+ minutes to warm bottle. NOT RECOMMENDED but we just used the microwave and warmed it for 10 seconds at a time and shook up really well. Perfect for us. 
Wipe warmer? Not needed. Because if you’re out and baby needs a change, you can’t warm it up. You can always warm it between your hands or on your belly. 
Bottle sanitizer? Never used that. I always cleaned my bottles in hot hot water (sometimes added boiling water to them) and would occasionally run them through this dishwasher. We also just used Dawn dish soap.
