TMI possibly… ejaculation and sex talk

Does sperm die once it hits air? Like hypothetically if a man ejaculates on you and then in the heat of the moment puts his finger in that and then into you… would that sperm be alive to fertilize an egg ?

Trust me I know how this sounds just bare with me lol it’s not about me but still a valid question
