Five of my closest friends are throwing me a baby shower shortly after Christmas. I'll be getting them Christmas gifts. I'm wondering if it's proper/necessary to also get them thank you gifts (beyond sending thank you cards) for being hostesses. I didn't know hostess thank you gifts were a thing. I've thrown about five baby showers and never expected or received anything in return from the moms except a thank you which was more than enough. Would it be horrible not to give thank you gifts? I also requested no presents at the shower and don't have a registry. It just seems like an extra thing to do (five times over) around an already hectic time. Some of the gifts would have to be shipped as it's a virtual shower and hostesses at scattered. I'm stressed just thinking about it. Are thank you cards not enough?
