Philips Avent soother

I haven’t used pacifier till now. My baby is 5weeks old. I want to start using it. Is Philips Avent soother good? If not, recommend me a good brand

I did a lot of research into pacifiers when my son was born. It came down to pretty much any of the big bottle brand names made a pretty highly rated pacifier too. Your baby, if they like them at all, will probably be particular in what one they like. We went through quite a few and the only one our son has liked has been MAM.

Don’t start with a soother. Baby doesn’t need it!!!!! Just another habit to break down the road!!!

Grab a few different brands to try out, every baby is different in what they prefer. My son went through three different brands before we landed on the tommee tippee brand, and he also used the same brand for bottles, so it was easiest for him to take.

You kind just have to try and few brands and see. Our baby is picky and doesn’t take that kind. he only like the MAM ones or the Nuk ones.

You just need to get small packs of a couple big name brands and see what babe likes. 
My daughter loves these nanobebe ones. She tolerates the avent ones. Doesn’t like the mam ones at all.

Totally depends on the babe. Get just one of a few types and see which one babe likes. The one thing to keep in mind is that ideally they are one piece. Rather than separate pieces that have been joined together. These create choking risks and opportunity for yucky bacteria stuff. We started with the advent soothies, then the nuk and finally the dr. browns my babe would take. But it really depends on the kid.￼

If often depends on the baby what they’ll take. Our son started with the soothers around 3 weeks when I was re-admitted to the hospital and my husband couldn’t get him to settle. Our daughter never wanted that kind and she went straight to the Nuk ortho ones.
