My bf and I are in our mid-20’s, been together 2.5 years and currently long distance for a few months for school. I made it clear, before we started dating, that I don’t date smokers - it’s a total “no no” for me. He said that’s fine and that he wasn’t a smoker.

Today, I opened his Snapchat and I could see a carton in his chest pocket - I couldn’t see a brand label or a picture, I could tell it was a smokeable product and I could see the word “flavour” written on the side. I asked what it was (thinking/hoping it might be someone else’s) and he snapped me back with the carton out of the pocket saying “huh? there’s nothing in my pockets”. I told him what I saw and asked again what it was and he replied “there’s nothing there hunny”, basically implying that I was seeing things. So I told him he had one last chance to tell the truth and after a few minutes he replied saying that they were his brothers and that he should’ve said that from the beginning.

I have found evidence of him smoking when I wasn’t around once before (about a year ago) and it was one of the biggest fights we ever had. I decided to give him a break on that one because ppl make mistakes. This time tho, I wanna believe him that they are his brothers because I know his brother is a smoker BUT

1) he still lied and tried to make me think I was being crazy and seeing things

2) he has a history of doing this kinda thing when I’m not around

3) why would they be in the CHEST pocket of HIS jacket???

It just doesn’t make sense and I’m fuming rn 😡😡😡

I don’t know what to think or do about it
