Contractions every 3 minutes and not dialated!

Im 35+5 and went into hospital to get checked as I’ve been having consistent contractions for nearly 24 hours. I’ve had 5 hours of them being 3 minutes apart. I was monitored in hospital, and it looked like I was in early labour. But my cervix is still completely closed, so we’re now on our way home.

Has anyone had something like this happen before? They’re definitely contractions and not braxton hicks.
