Pack hubbys things too?

A thought just crossed my mind. With my first born we packed my stuff, babys things and hubbys things (couple of spare boxers, socks outfits) because we didnt know how long we would be there. Ended up being in active labour for 3 days. This time around, im scheduled for a c section. Hubby will be coming in with me but most likely going back home in the evening to my toddler as its pandemic times and i dont think they will even let him stay at the hospital with us. Im expected to stay a night or two. So am i right to not have packed him anything? Or should i do so to be on the safe side? Im in the UK btw

Im personal an over packer so I would pack stuff for him to just to be on the safe side

It’s actually the opposite where I live (Ohio in the US), husbands allowed to stay overnight but they can’t leave and come back. So someone will have to stay with our other 2 kids as we will both be at the hospital from admission to discharge. That being said, I’ve never actually packed a bag until I was in labor. 😂 took me 5 minutes to throw in a few clothes and the everyday supplies I use to freshen up. Hubby packed his own stuff too

My husband would 100% need something if I didn’t pack 😅 if he’s not going to be with you much I would still throw at least a sweatshirt and a phone charger, maybe some snacks for him. He’ll still be with you a bit even if he goes home at night

I'm in the UK too. First time round I packed him a change of clothes and some drinks and snacks. Second time round I think there was a spare t shirt for him. This time round I also am scheduled a c section and it didn't even occur to me to pack anything for him until I read your post! It wouldn't hurt to have a small bag in the car with a few bits in that he could pop out and get if he needed to?

I wouldn't pack for him. I didn't pack for mine the first time, but we also only live like five minutes from the hospital so he can go home for stuff pretty easily. I don't know what hospitals in the UK are like, but here they don't allow kids to stay with you no matter what's going on. My two year old isn't even allowed in the hospital at all right now because of Covid unless being admitted herself.

You can ask your hospital if he's allowed to stay if you have someone you trust to watch your toddler. I'm in the U.S. but my mom is flying across the country (we're a military family) to watch my daughter while I'm in L&D. We asked my dr at my last appointment if he's allowed to leave the floor and she said yes, he can leave, unless something changes in the next month. So if our stay ends up being longer than we expect, he can run home for more clothes rather than having our mom drag our daughter out to bring them. I don't think it will hurt to pack him a couple of outfits just in case to limit running around though.

I would call them and ask it’s different everywhere 🤔
In Germany they are not allowed to stay. Just for active labour. After and bevor that 1 person 1 hour a day after a negative test 😢
I hope to leave this time after one night.
