Low HCG results with IVF identical twins?

Anyone out there transferred 1 embryo with IVF that resulted in identical twins with low HCG levels on week 4? I transferred 1 and my first HCG was 144... wondering what my chances are for the embryo to have split?

HCG has no correlation with HCG. And that number is completely fine for week 4. As long as it doubles it's fine.

I don’t think the chances of splitting are very high. Although hcg levels don’t necessarily correlate to how many babies you’re having, if you have lower levels it’s probably less likely to be twins. So it’s probably not very likely, but you’ll find out at your first ultrasound. Good luck with your pregnancy.
