Mira vs Inito vs OvuSense Core
Hello ladies. I have done an experiment here this past month to see how close all of these methods would be. I’m going to explain in the next paragraph what all these test, so if you already know skip over paragraph 2.
Inito and Mira test your Estrogen, LH, and Progesterone each day you test. They will tell you when to test. But because I’m comparing I tested everyday once I had spotting. Mira is a small hand held device that is kind of shaped like an egg. The fertility plus wands test Estrogen and LH, the confirm wands test progesterone. They make LH only wands as well. Once you dip the wand into the urine for 10 seconds you remove the cap and place over the urine side. You then place the opposite side into the machine. One test want takes 16 minutes. If you are doing both wands fertility plus and confirm you do the LH and estrogen first then progesterone. Inito only works on iPhones right now. You clip it onto your phone (so if you have an otterbox or any case you have to remove it for testing). It has estrogen, LH, and progesterone on one wand. The app walks you through step by step how to test and has a nice timer in the app so you don’t leave the wand in the urine to long or not long enough. Takes 5 minutes for it to analyze, then about 2-3 more min for the results. I use OvuSense core for core BBT. You insert it in your vagina before bed, take it out when you wake up, and sync it to your phone (have to remove your case). It takes your temp every 5 minutes and gives you a temp once you sync it.
What I found for this month I tested. The numbers never are the same for Estrogen, LH, and Progesterone. Which is strange being it’s the same sample and it is numerical amounts. The peak was exactly the same. My peak was on 11/22 (CD15). So Mira said I ovulated that day where Inito says I ovulated the following day 11/23 (CD16). But Inito didn’t say it was confirmed until I had the progesterone rise. Then it said 11/23 was the ovulation day. My OvuSense said I ovulated on 11/26(CD19) which is way off. Not sure why it suggested that. Even sent it their reps to look at and they said it looked correct. Looking at the temps it isn’t correct. Here are pictures of my charts so you can see. Any questions, I’d love to answer. Baby Dust!
