Baby covid+
My SO started showing symptoms of being sick Sunday night, then woke up Monday with a fever. So he went to the doctor and got tested; we haven’t gotten his results back. I got baby and me out of there and have been staying at my dads hoping that we’d avoid it. Then this morning she had a cough, and by this afternoon she had a temp of 101.2. I tried to give her Tylenol but she vomited right after, so I took her to the ER. Chest sounds and X-rays were clear. They redosed her Tylenol which brought down her fever. And then tested her for RSV/flu, and covid. Her covid test came back positive.
The doctor recommended keeping her on Tylenol for the next couple days to keep the fever down, treat any nasal issues symptomatically, and bring her back to the ER if she gets worse. My baby’s 3 months old, I’m FTM and I’m so scared. I’ve heard that babies and kids getting covid have had lesser symptoms and usually recover faster? She seems to be pretty happy and playful still since the Tylenol has kicked in but I’m just so worried of what’s to come since this is day one. Any advice or affirmations?❤️
