Baby covid+

Shelby

My SO started showing symptoms of being sick Sunday night, then woke up Monday with a fever. So he went to the doctor and got tested; we haven’t gotten his results back. I got baby and me out of there and have been staying at my dads hoping that we’d avoid it. Then this morning she had a cough, and by this afternoon she had a temp of 101.2. I tried to give her Tylenol but she vomited right after, so I took her to the ER. Chest sounds and X-rays were clear. They redosed her Tylenol which brought down her fever. And then tested her for RSV/flu, and covid. Her covid test came back positive.

The doctor recommended keeping her on Tylenol for the next couple days to keep the fever down, treat any nasal issues symptomatically, and bring her back to the ER if she gets worse. My baby’s 3 months old, I’m FTM and I’m so scared. I’ve heard that babies and kids getting covid have had lesser symptoms and usually recover faster? She seems to be pretty happy and playful still since the Tylenol has kicked in but I’m just so worried of what’s to come since this is day one. Any advice or affirmations?❤️

I hope she feels better soon. All you can do is follow doctor recommendations and treat the symptoms as they come but the fact that she seems happy and playful after some Tylenol is a good sign

My baby and I just got through covid. He's 3 months. He had a fever for a couple of days and lots of congestion. The Tylenol really helped, he got over it in a couple of days. I also kept him very hydrated, tried feeding him a lot more than usual. I hope everyone feels better soon

All three of my kids are sick rn. And one being almost 4 months. Haven’t tested them but when i spoke to the doctor he said of kids are acting normal during a fever you have nothing to worry about. I avoid giving my kids medicine and go the holistic route. When my kids fever shot up to 102.9 (acting completely normal) for my sake i put onions on their feet and within 20 mins the fever was gone. I always use this remedy. Now my kids are just runny nose and cough. Def use an humidifier and plenty of fluids for baby. I also had covid and my kids were fine! You will get through this 💕
