How do we know what size to buy for a nursing bra?

So far, I’ve gone up one size and I’m 17 weeks. None of my sports bras and bras fit, so I’m at a loss of what size to buy if they’re still in the process of growing. 
What worked for you? Thanks in advance!

Well, I bought a few soft bras that could stretch.
Nursing bras isn't recommended to buy before after your milk comes in after birth actually. That way you'll get the most accurate size.

I bought two Kindred Bravely bras while pregnant. They came with an extender for the band. They didn’t fit when my milk first came in and I was engorged but after a few days and they are a great fit again!

These have fit me while pregnant with my first all through nursing and then wore them again while pregnant and nursing my second. Never had to buy another size. I was a 36DD and bought an XL. I’m now a 38DD after nursing my second and they still fit.

Hofish sizing is based on sports bra sizing. I found mine to be true to size. They are really comfortable with no underwire. They have excellent customer service as well. So returns and exchanges are super easy

I only nursed for the first month and then up until 9 months exclusively pumped. My chest went from 34D to easily over a 36G. I went on to buy like 6 of these bras! They're perfect for people with growing and large chests. I found even XL bras in every other brand too small.

I’d choose one that’s sized s, m, l etc instead of band/cup size. I’d venture to guess you will be 2-3 sizes larger once milk comes in so if you normally wear a medium, maybe get one size larger. Also I would only buy a few until your postpartum so you can get a good fit.
