Positive C-Section Experience
My son was born via C-Section this morning at 1:10 am after a failed induction for gestational hypertension and it was the best experience ever! Around 12 am I was taken to OR where I received a spinal blockage, the numbing injection did sting a little and I moved! which wasn’t a worry since they were working below my spine but after that the rest of the process was easy. The anesthesiologist made sure I was completely numb from my upper waist and down and as they performed the c section I felt tugging and slight pressure but it did not hurt at all. As soon as they pulled him out I heard his cry and it put a huge smile on my face all I can do is thank God. They stitched me up as the Dad help tend to him and held him beside me as they were finishing up. They gave me additional anesthesia to the block nerves near my incision to help with the pain as I began to recover. Besides feeling sleepy and a little weak, overall I feel great I’m so grateful for this positive birth experience and wish the same for all of you mamas!! 💙💙💙
