How long did it take for metformin to regulate your period?

Leave me any experiences. Did it help with ovulation? Did your irregular periods become regular? Did it not help at all?
I’ve been on it for 1 month and the side effects are awful, so I’m starting to wonder if its even worth the upset stomach.

I started back on it in September and it was almost instantly. I ovulated like a week after starting it. Went from like 60-75 day cycles to 33 and now I’m at 30 days. I think it all depends tho (on what I’m not sure) when I first took it a few years ago (I wasn’t having a period at all), it did bring on my period but they were all over the place. Some 40 days, some 60 days, it was messed up.

21 days after starting 500mg of metformin I got my period after not having one for four months and ever since that I have been regular 28/32 day cycle now on 1000mg a day and once a stay one a low carb  low sugar diet I have no bade effects

It took me a solid month for the stomach issues to resolve BUT after that month my period started becoming more and more regular and after 4 months off of birth control and only on metformin we conceived ❤️💕❤️💕
