Fibroids at 12 wk ultrasound

I had my 12 week scan today. I was looking forward to seeing bubs, getting good results and feeling in the clear. We still haven’t told anyone as it’s taken so long to get here that we don’t know what will go wrong.

Anyway, at the ultrasound we found that I have a few fibroids. I’ve had ultrasounds in the past when we were investigating our fertility, and I had a D&C and histeroscopy in feb with possible polyps. But the operating doctor found nothing.

So there fibroids have popped up out of the blue. The technician suggested that with increased hormones and estrogen in pregnancy that they can grow..but now I’m worried about all the possible complications.

Has anyone else had fibroids in pregnancy? What advice do you have? I don’t see my obstetrician until Jan..
