Anyone have a much harder time conceiving baby #2??

I feel like I got pregnant right away with my first. literally the first month, we tried it happened. Going on month five of trying for baby number two and I’m feeling so discouraged. Any tips or advice?

I’m just 25 trying to conceive my first still and I’m going on 5 months as well 🥺 it’s so discouraging, I have never even seen a positive test in my life 🥺

Yes! My now 2.5 year old is a penicillin baby... So we weren't even trying, as we were only 3 months married and just staring out in a new home etc. Now for baby #2, we've been trying 11 months with no luck at all... 2 Clomid cycles about 6 or 7 months ago, 1 with a trigger shot and nothing... This is now my 3rd month using OPK'S at home along with the app. This month was actually the first month I got a positive OPK, and it was like 4 days sooner than the app said I'd ovulate. We also did the menstrual cup method for 3 of the fertile days (including ovulation day). So I'm now officially 3DPO and praying harder than ever!

Yes. First try with my first, also on month 5 TTC for #2. Had a chemical last month. 😥 Of course we were all fortunate to have an easy time getting pregnant with our first, but it does make it quite the mind game when it takes longer for the second... 🥴

It took us 10 months to conceive our first. She’s 2.5 now. We planned to start trying sooner for the second but my husband had some health issues so now we waited. We are currently on cycle #3 trying and I’m around 9 DPO. I’m 34 and I just can’t have it take 10 months again, even though I know it’s possible it will take that long again. So while I’m in a little different of a boat, I’m really hoping this will happen sooner rather than later! I actually thought we got lucky our first cycle..I was 5 days late, which never happens, and after 3 negative tests my period finally came. Talk about a gut punch 😕 This time around I’ve been trying to do more reading- I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and I am doing BBT, checking CM and CP as well as doing OPKs. BBT is helpful because it tells you if you are truly ovulating where the OPKs just tell you that ovulation is approaching. So I do recommend that book if you haven’t read it. It was really helpful. I’ve also started reading It Starts With The Egg. Super interesting stuff and I’ve started taking some of the supplements she/the research recommends. Hope it happens sooner than later for all of us!

I got pregnant with my 3 1/2 year old right away. I think first month of TTC. We have been trying for the 2nd baby for 4 months , had a chemical in September and still no positive. 🥺

Yup same here! Got pregnant the first try with baby Nimber 2.. now I have a 3 and a half years old and we waited thinking we wouldn’t have any problems. Now I regret not trying earlier and they will be to far apart in age :(

This is my 7th cycle TTC #2. It took 8 cycles for pregnancy #1 that ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks then it took another 8 cycles for my now 19 month old. So not longer for #1 yet but getting close so I'm nervous. If you aren't using OPKs, I'd recommend starting, Clear Blue Digital Advanced is my favorite. If you don't want to use OPKs, just BD every other day from the end of your period until your next period. But sometimes it just takes time.
