Husband hates sex with me since having baby

So at my postpartum check up when I was cleared for sex I got on birth control and still waited. At 3 months postpartum we tried and my husband looked uncomfortable and never tried again. He always made an excuse not to have sex me and finally I started crying saying he hates my body and he says "It's not that. Idk if something to do with giving birth or your IUD but SOMETHING is stabbing me every time I thrust and it hurts!" Is this normal after birth?.... He hates my vagina now...
