Should I switch providers?!

I'm almost 5 weeks pregnant, and I got pregnant on birth control. I emailed in pregnancy pictures, including a digital one, to my gyno and they have me coming in on 12/13 to confirm pregnancy.

Well I said that I am in EXTREME discomfort. I can't even stand up straight while I'm cramping. I can't even walk without holding onto my stomach and leaning forward while walking.

But nope, they won't get me in for an ultrasound to see if it's an ectopic pregnancy until after Christmas because they can't schedule that until they confirm my pregnancy.

Should I just change providers? Because this is fucking bullshit. Why can't they just confirm my pregnancy with the damn ultrasound?! This cramping is UNBEARABLE! ANDDD I was on birth control! They should be seeing me ASAP! I can't even go to the ER because that will be hours and I have kids to take care of.
