Subchorionic hematoma

I had some spotting yesterday. Went in for an ultrasound today to make sure everything is okay and I do have a small subchorionic hematoma. Has anyone else been diagnosed with one? I didn't get a lot of answers as to why, what it is, what causes it, what to do, etc. My appointment was rushed because they has to squeeze me into a full schedule

Hey! Yeah that's pretty small how far along are you they base how big it is based on its size in comparison to the sack. So a 2.5cm at 14 weeks is very tiny at 6 weeks would be more medium. At 4 weeks would be more large. Sounds like your ob isnt too worried which is a good sign but I wouldnt have sex either that can really make them worse because it causes the uterus to contract. I also wouldnt lift heavy and just overall take it easy the more your body has time to rest and recover the easier it is for it to absorb I belive. Everybody is different and every pregnancy is different it also matters where its located in utero. The ripping sensation I definitely relate to but that also could just be uterus stretching cuz I've gotten that along the way as well hard to know. Youl be ok just rest up it goes away most of the time!!

So my Dr just said don't go run a marathon and if I start spotting/bleeding again then take it easy. But everything I have read online says women who limit activity generally have quicker recoveries as far as the hematoma going away. Mine is around 2.5cm so not big but I do get like a ripping sensation sometimes that I never had with my first and I'm not sure if that's what it is.

I have two currently! I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow. They discovered one at my 9 week ultrasound, pretty large actually about 6.5 cm. At my 12 week ultrasound they found it sorta separated into two areas. I’ve had no bleeding or cramping and my dr said to just take it easy with no sex, heavy lifting, or intense exercise and little stress. My ob said there is nothing they can do about them and with “taking it easy” they typically resolve on their own! :)

I had a 2cm one at 8 weeks and I haven’t had any issues or restrictions yet. I’m not sure if it went away but I’ll find out at my 20 week. They weren’t worried about it though which made me happy. She said sometimes “ultrasound machines are too good these days”

I had a small amount, just when I wiped, from yesterday am till this morning. Nothing since so fingers crossed it goes away quickly.

I had one at my 7 week ultrasound and the sonographer said it was nothing to worry about. I never bled at all and then by my 9 week appointment it was gone. I was told they can be reabsorbed by the body

I had one from week 6 until nearly week 13. I had several episodes of bright red bleeding and most days for the entire 6ish weeks I had it, I spotting brown/rust daily. I was put on full pelvic rest, no exercise and no lifting over 10 lbs until my ultrasound last week when it was seen to be resolved. Drinks lots of water and try to relax, my doctor said most of the time it’s no big deal.
