What to expect for 20 week anatomy

Hello, anyone that’s had the anatomy done already, did you get the results right away or had to wait for doctor to call you in a few days? So far babys been healthy but I am nervous after hearing 2 people I know lose their baby after getting results from 20 week scan. Trying to remain positive and hoping for the best is all I can do.
UPDATE: I got my scan and they did give me results at the place. A specialist came in after the sonogrammer was done. They said baby is great, I just had to make this post as I couldn’t wait a day 😂

It depends on your office. All of my scans are done in my OB office and I have a visit directly after. Some offices do the scans and then you have to wait for a call from the OB to get your results.

It depends!
At my OB office, they send you to a specialist across the street for antomy scans because their machine is "much better" and "fancy" so they get better images. I go there then a week later I see my doctor and she goes over the results. If there's any concerns it's brought up then.
However, you can see on an ultrasound in person if the hearts beating

Im not sure I understand why you would get results in a few days when it is a in person scanning at the 20wk scan. The sonographer or whoever is preforming it should tell you whats happening with baby then and there. Good luck with your scan. Im gtn mine tomorrow.

My appointment is on Wednesday, and the follow up with the OB is an hour after the US. I think it depends on the doctor’s office and their availability.

I just had my 20 week scan 2 days ago! Basically they look at everything and they will tell you what they are looking at (brain, kidneys, femur, stomach, ect). It’s really cool to watch the whole process! I got my results about 4 hours later. Everything looked great and baby is right on track! Good luck to you! I’m sure you will have a wonderful experience!
