13 month old hair in face help?

Question

Should I be doing something to train my daughters hair to lay with a part, and any advice or styles I should try? It’s in an awkward stage and gets in her eyes. 
When I do a pony tail the hair sticks straight up and stays sticking up after I take it out.

Any tips on how I should handle it? Side part, middle part? Hair gel? I have some clips but they are just ok.

As soon  as my son started growing hair I parted it everyday the way I wanted it. Now it naturally does. Every day wet her hair a little and comb it the way you want it. Find some hair gel, one that is baby friendly, and use it to help keep the hair in the place. Eventually it will help but you’ll have to do it everyday

We spray Shea Moisture Kids Leave-In Conditioner, then comb the way we want it for the day (sometimes pig tails, sometimes a side part and a small half pony to one side). It stays til nap time, sometimes all day depending on how much she moves during nap, and then we redo it with no spray and no hassle. It will lay flat on it’s own now, but the pony sometimes sticks up a bit if it’s too close to the scalp. That resolves as the hair gets a little longer and it’s an adorable baby phase, a look that doesn’t work when you get older, so we embrace it 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
Definitely takes a bit of training, but mostly just time.

My daughter has the same hair. I use a hair bow clip/barrette to part her bangs to one side. It works better than a hair tie and stays in longer
