I have a puppy who is turning 1 year in January, she’s a small breed (cavapoo) and the vet told us most dogs have their first period at 6 months, small breeds possibly earlier. She hasn’t yet but I’m not sure if I should be worried that there is something wrong?

I have a 10 month old lab who hasn't gone into heat yet. I've read it can sometimes take as long as 18 months. I wouldn't worry too much about it. They are like teenage girls, they all get it at different times🤷🏻‍♀️ if you are concerned, just call your vet and ask. They are very helpful and usually fine giving advice over the phone to ease your mind. Trust me, with the amount of crap my lab has eaten, I'd know🤦🏻‍♀️😂 good luck!! No, my dog was just over a year when she had her first season. Same with humans not everyone starts their periods when they turn 12
