I have a 5 week old baby and my in-laws live with my husband and I (we rent a house and each pay half) my mil has kissed our baby since he came home from the hospital and my husband and I think it’s inappropriate and have wanted to ask her not to. I have been suffering from ppd and ppa and finally have started feeling better after a week of taking medicine, so this morning I built up the confidence to tell her we don’t want anyone kissing our baby and she freaked out. She stormed out of the room yelling and said she guesses she can’t kiss her own grandson. It’s been really tense and I have already felt so uncomfortable living with them and battling ppd/ppa. We plan on moving out in February and continuing to pay our half of the rent until the lease is up in august, even though we can’t really afford it. Am I the asshole?
