I had to be *that* neighbour last night

People are forgetting that not everyone has the holidays off. Some of us are still working.

Last night my neighbours had a party. They were quiet by 9pm. No problem, nice and early. Husband and I go to bed just after 10pm and not even an hour later, and we are rudely woken up by loud music and yelling again. They weren't even playing good music.

I called law enforcement about half an hour later, but I don't think they ever showed. Hopefully they'll at least leave a note in their postbox today.

Eventually just after midnight I went out to ask them to turn down their music. It was so loud that they couldn't even hear me from just a new ft away. I had to wait for a break in their song to ask them to keep it down.

I hated being that neighbour but now after less than six hours sleep, I wish I shouted at them as soon as they started instead of trying not to be a party pooper.
