1st Birth Story VIA C-Section (Uterus Didelphys patient)

First off I was born with Uterus Didelphys. Uterus Didelphys is when you have two separate uteruses and a septum splitting them so each side has its own set of ovaries, tubes, etc.

So I have a right and left uterus. I carried my daughter Layla in the right one (the bigger of the two). Each side is half the size of a regular uterus so there’s not as much room. I ended up running out of space & they ended up letting me go too long since she did run out of room.

I had a scheduled C Section due to being Breech at 37 weeks. First they cut her foot because she was so squished inside there. She was born with a dislocated hip and her legs stuck straight up, her toes also were so bent because of how they were stuck. That same day they were able to force them down safely & slowly since babies tend to be flexible and swaddle her to keep them down.

As far as my recovery it was pretty rough. My wound actually came open & I had to go back to get it closed again. Csections are definitely a lot to go through.
