Second Baby

Hi! my partner and i were together for about 7 years now and we have a 4 year old son. and he has been talking about having a second baby for awhile now and asking me to stop taking my birth control pills. i do want to have another baby but i am not sure if this is the right timing for a new baby. can you please give me some advice. i would really appreciate it
