Baby hospital bag?

Hey I'm 22 weeks and wondered when everyone started packing their hospital bag? I dont want to do it too early but I'm also really excited Haha

I’ll pack mine somewhere between 30-32 weeks.  I delivered my baby girl at 36 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and it was such a relief knowing my husband or I could just grab the bag and go!

I started packing (gathering stuff around 20 weeks I’m 22 weeks) haven’t finished it probably will by the time I’m around 30-31 I didn’t wanna bother my boyfriend with that expense all at once

I have what tends to be an unpopular opinion about hospital bags. I don’t pack way in advance, and I’m a light packer. I have a carry on suitcase that’s easily accessible and I’m a pro at packing quickly. I pack my bag when I am timing contractions before going into the hospital. It helps the time go by and gives me something to focus on other than the pain. I just pack some essentials, and honestly it takes about 10 minutes. It always takes much longer to get my husband ready and out the door 😂 he’s on his own for packing. I do pack a little bag for my other kids a week or two before I’m due or when I start having contractions off and on (I usually have them a week or two leading up to labor). If you forget anything while at the hospital, just send your husband home for it or have someone bring it. Even with Covid protocols, you can probably have your husband meet them in the lobby to retrieve items.

I was induced randomly (I was overdue) and I had literally packed it the day before. So I was 40 weeks

With my first I packed when my water broke :) with my second the night before, right at 37 weeks. I don’t over pack, very simple small bag with my comfy clothes, baby outfit, few make up and toiletries items and that’s all :)

With my first I packed at 36 weeks and had a list on the fridge of last minute things to add to the bag. I still ended up having someone bring me stuff after the birth. Thankfully, I'm having a home birth this go around and will already have everything here.

Probably 35/36 weeks. I went into labor at 37 weeks with my first and didn’t have it packed!

35/36 weeks …. Unless you have a reason to believe you would deliver really early … I’m on baby 6 and have never delivered before 38 weeks so that’s just my experience
