SCH update
I don't know if any of you have been following my story. But I've posted a couple times about this pregnancy & a subchorionic hematoma I have been deal with. Well.. I have an update!!
Had an appointment with the specialist today (MfM. I was going early due to complications in previous pregnancied). It was originally a genetic test, which went really well. Genetically baby is looking great. No signs of any major issues. It was cool because the doctor broke it all down for me.. what they were looking for & how they found it. Got some blood drawn for all the other indicators & NIPT for gender.
Hematoma is still there & rather large. But the specialist gave us much better odds. More like 85% chance of my body healing itself & the baby being okay. I still need to take it easy & am not in the clear but I feel a lot more optimistic. The hematoma is already clotting which is a good thing. I go back to MfM in 3 weeks (15+4) for a scan to check on the hematoma, then again at 20 wks for another scan & anatomy. They did say that while they think my odds are good, they don't think the hematoma will go away completely in the pregnancy which could.l cause some complications about delivery.
So... overall good news. I feel much more *cautiously* optimistic.
Guess what!? The US tech also gave me a gender guess!! Obviously waiting for the NIPT to be sure. I have two boys at home & it seems like this one will be... boy number three!!
