Erectile dysfunction due to type 2 diabetes

My husband has been taking medication for his type 2 diabetes. I’m not sure if it’s the medication or maybe there’s just too much nerve damage from diabetes which is affecting his ability to get hard enough for sex. This makes it extremely difficult for TTC. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do to remedy it?
