Any other high risk/35+ moms?

Hey mamas, I turn 35 in May so this will be my first pregnancy being considered high risk. Does anyone have any experience with that? I know it means extra appointments, anything else I should be prepared for? Thanks!

I will be 37 in April and this is my 5th pregnancy, hopefully my 2nd baby. My daughter was born a few months before I turned 35.  Other than possibly having some extra sonograms and appointments, I know the other big thing is that more prenatal testing is covered by insurance like the NIPT. There are some complication that could possibly be higher risk but not necessarily for everyone; especially since you will be more than halfway through the pregnancy when you turn 35. It’s not like your body hits a switch on your birthday and makes everything a higher risk automatically

I am going to be 40 in March so I am nervous about my pregnancy as it is my first. My mom had my brother at 40 though and said she was never considered high risk and that was in 1990!

I’m 40 this will be my 3rd pregnancy and praying my first baby. As of yet none of my doctors have considered me high risk. I thought my age would put me there but my dr said no. We will see what they new dr says.

Hi, I’m 33, this is baby #4 for me and I have been considered high risk with all my pregnancies. If it’s just bc of the age, I wouldn’t word about it, they just say that for precautions. Enjoy your pregnancy, and try not to worry, you have been blessed. A few extra appointments don’t mean anything besides seeing your baby more often than most in an ultrasound ☺️

I’m 39. I’ll be 40 this summer and this is my second pregnancy. My first ended in mc in 2003. I’ve been reading a lot on what to expect but I’m mainly focused on enjoying my pregnancy and making sure I eat healthy, take my supplements and vitamins and keep all appointments. I do email my doctor office if I have concerns. I’ve even followed a few YouTubers (but that seemed to stress me so I stopped).

I had my 1st at 35 and I will be 37 when the 2nd arrives. You get more ultrasounds and some tests are automatic, or at least were for me, like the NIPT testing which is the 1st for genetic abnormalities (like Downs Syndrome).

I will be 35 later this month and this is baby 6. However this time around I am going to be seeing a midwife again, but I probably will not see a MFM like I did with my last 3 babies unless my midwife feels I need to, but my last pregnancy was my best after making a late switch from OB to a midwife.

Any other high risk/35+ moms?
