Clomid with no period?

I have an appt to talk with my doctor about starting clomid but I'm just curious if it's even possible for me.i haven't had a period since July. It's it necessary to have a period to start the medication?

I didn’t have a period before starting mine did cd2-6 on 50 ovulation on cd10 confirmation with US at cd19 & bloods CD 21 positive cd 25 positive digital cd32 she’s now 4 years old… think it depends on dc as at the time when I had mine loads of people had it without their AF… I got BFP first round… hope this helps xx

They will most likely prescribe Provera which you take to help induce a period. After that, then you’ll start clomid on day 3ish of bleeding.
