My boyfriend is unhappy with his job and looking for a new job. He has been at this place as a mechanic for a year and is upset because some of the oil crew is making more than him. But the REASON they are making more than him is because they are doing schooling through a company program. He honestly could do his schooling too if he really wanted to, but claims he’d rather spend time with our baby and I. So I don’t feel like it’s really fair of him to be as upset as he is. Especially seeing as it is self-paced, so he could work on it little by little if he really wanted to. If these people are choosing to put in the extra work and effort to get schooling done, schooling he is choosing not to do whatever the reason, why shouldn’t they be paid more than him? I’m sure those people have relationships and kids too
