Can someone call the police on you for smoking weed at your house?

I live in a legal state and I’m looking into renting apartments. If I would go outsback or something and smoke weed, could someone call the police for the smell? I have my medical card too.

I mean they can always call but if it’s legal and you are on you’re property like your balcony or something then the cops can’t do anything. But check your lease some places put no smoking / vaping /marijuana in the unit. Mine does that. So basically can only smoke on my balcony.

I also live in a legal state but our apartment is non smoking. So if anyones caught they can be evicted since they’re breaking lease. So make sure you read your full lease and ask what the rules are on it.

If you have a medical card well where else are you suppose to do it? Cannot do it in your car I live next to a legal state and they have to do it in their property so can’t randomly do it outside. You rent there and it’s not like you’re doing it inside to seep into everyone’s vents. I think you should be fine.

Where I live, if you breathe wrong, the neighbors will call the police, or complain to the association, I honestly hate living here, I didn’t pick the place, unfortunately you can’t choose who your neighbors are, some are petty and annoying, probably why I don’t talk to any of my neighbors because all they do is bitch and complain. My mother does, like yesterday the neighbor came over and said I decided to change the fence, and now you owe me $400 for your side, we never agreed to it.  It was her decision to change the fence, just because we share that side of the fence, now she wants her house, we never agreed to it, it was her decision to change her own fence. But now because my mother is friendly with her, now she’s going to get the 400 out of her. To me and my house is just somewhere I sleep that’s it I don’t talk to my neighbors, I keep my head down, and I just leave.￼ if the cops show up, show them your medical marijuana card, show them your lease that you live there so you’re not trespassing, you do what you Gotta do and just make sure that you keep calm, don’t yell at the cop, last thing you want is them taking you away for something that you have the right to do. Unfortunately there’s always going to be nosy neighbors who call the police. When we are used to have a house along time ago and my mother would throw parties, my mother would even invite the police to the house just so that we didn’t have to deal with any complaints, but we always had a neighbor who would always call the police, she would complain that she could hear the trucks miles away, which we knew darn well she couldn’t but she was a lonely old woman and needed something to keep herself occupied. She complained about everything, and when she fell, who do you think had to help her get up We did. I hope she felt guilty after all the crap she put us through calling the police all the time time￼ for nothing.
