For those who are giving water to LO, what sippy cups do you use? Does your LO actually drink it on their own, or do you hold it for them like a bottle? How much water do they actually need at this stage?

We use this cup. It comes with a cleaning brush for the straw. You can also use it without the straw and without the lid.

I've given water in a bottle and through a small cup. I give as needed when feeding solids.. not sure how much he gets either
Apparently the max is 8 oz but to aim for 2 to 4 oz so it doesn't replace breast milk/formula according to my lazy google search lol

Forgot to say I have no idea how much exactly we just let her decide. Probably less than 2oz for the day though because her main source is still

We give water every time she’s at the table (she sits with us for all meals and snacks and gets to nibble on her own stuff too)
We have a sippy cup, one with a straw, and one of those sippy cups that looks like a regular cup, and she can’t do any of them 100% by herself yet😂 makes a hell of a mess, we encourage her to hold the handles but help her tip it up and we always give it while sitting up and in the kitchen(No laying down like a bottle)

We use the EZPZ mini cup for open cup practice and this munchkin cup for straw practice. 2oz max per solids meal.

Ezpz has a cute mini cup that we use! I help guide it to her mouth but soon I will be letting her attempt it on her own
