I got my glucose test last week and I get the results at my next ob appt until then am I aloud to eat things that have sugar in them like a muffin cause My biggest craving is banana nut muffins

Hell at this point I’m down to basically eating lettuce and drinking water. A muffin would spike my sugars so high it would be dangerous. I’m already on insulin and my dose just keeps going up and up. My blood work shows I’m malnourished, but eating ANYTHING and my sugars spike. I’m starving. I’ve lost over 35lbs this pregnancy. I can’t wait until he’s born.

Honestly, eat them until They tell you you can’t. Just be aware of moderation. I got my first test at 24weeks I failed so they set me up with the 3 hr test at 28 weeks. I continued my normal diet until my 3 hr test came back as positive for GD. I have altered a good amount of my diet to this day now 29 weeks and four days and I won’t have an appointment with a specialist until the 12th.

Yea, I ate normal until I got my results; I ended up with GD but was easily controlled by diet.
