Tired Mama
Hi Mamas!
My baby is 4 months, about to be 5 (20 weeks). He has been teething for a while and this week in particular just doesn't want to sleep. He is quite a big baby, 97th percentile for weight- ebf.
Yesterday he slept for 9 hours total in the whole day! There was not lots of screaming or fussing, but just did not want to sleep, eventually at 2am we got him to sleep by rocking him (back pain today). Added to this, he is feeding much less - or at least for less time - 10 mins max each time, where used to be about 30. Last night at midnight he fed for 82 mins then still didn't fall asleep. We take him for walks everyday etc, eve, that isn't sending him to sleep, but just must be a phase.
Our paediatrician told me that he could start solids, so when I gave him his vit d drops on one day this week, I added a tiny bit of pear puree to the tiny spoon - but only a tiny spoonful- this was a couple of days ago. I am not starting starting fully on solids - I just had a moment where I was worried he wasn't feeding and thought maybe that would help if we tried. I have decided to wait a bit longer though, because i know the guidelines are 6 months-though he has all the signs of being ready and not seemingly as in to breast as before- the only thing is I can not be sure hisbdisgestivr system would be ready yet, though he was fine with what he had. Not sure if linked but mentioning this anyway.
Annnyway- does this all just sound like sleep regression or any ideas? One tired mama!
