How often do you change your pads?

For those who use pads for your periods, how often do you change your pad, not when it's heavy flow and getting full anyway, but when it's moderate/light and isnt full eg just for cleanliness? How often is necessary purely for staying clean?

Even if it's not full I do it whenever I use the bathroom. Might as well since i'm already in there. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I generally mix pads and tampons. I will only sleep in pads but generally wear tampons when I am out of the house. I'll wear both when I have to go to work on a heavy day. On days that I will be home all day I generally wear just pads and change it 3-4 times a day. When I wake up, mid day, mid afternoon, and before bed. If it's a lighter day maybe only once in the afternoon.

I change mines 3 times a day because it tends to get ichy after some time down there and i hate that .so I try to avoid it by changing it 3 times

I was told to change it every 2-3 hours but that could just vary on your flow, types of pads you use, etc. I really just change when I go to the bathroom if its got a decent bit. My flow was never really “heavy” so there would be times when I’d see the tiniest bit of blood and not even change it because pads are expensive 😂
